STUDIO4°C's "The Babysiter" tells the story of four Helljumpers sent on a mission to eliminate a key Covenant Prophet on a distant planet. Their biggest pre-mission concern: the Spartan who has been assigned to accompany them.

In this episode, director Toshiyuki Kanno gives us a glimpse into the tense relationship between the tough, battle-hardened ODSTs and the SPARTAN-II super-soldiers.

"The Babysitter" Guide

A guide to the Halo Legends episode "The Babysitter."

STUDIO4°C's "The Babysitter" tells the story of four Helljumpers, members of the infamous 105th division of ODSTs, sent on a mission to eliminate a key Covenant Prophet on a distant planet. The catch is that they are accompanied by SPARTAN Cal-141, who is assigned as the ranking officer for the mission. To add to their frustration, the Spartan is also carrying out the actual assassination, relegating the squad's own skilled sniper to backup.

In this episode Toshiyuki Kanno peers into the tense relationship between the tough, battle-hardened ODSTs and the SPARTAN-II super-soldier, leaving the audience to wonder who is babysitting whom.

"The Duel" Guide

A closer look at the Halo Legends episode "The Duel."

Director Hiroshi Yamazaki, visionary creative director Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell), and Prodoction I.G bring the moving story of Fal 'Chavamee to life with a unique visual style developed specifically for this feature.

"The Duel" provides a rare glimpse into the Elite culture, a militaristic feudal society driven by honor and shrouded by mystery. Set during the maturation of the alliance between the Sangheili (Elites) and the San 'Shyuum (Prophets), the episode focuses on the doubts of one warrior, Fal, about the true nature of the Covenant. Fal's skepticism about the Great Journey and the purpose of the alliance puts his exalted status and his family at risk. But his sense of honor prevents hum from blindly following the new world order.

Failure is not an option-even in the face of an endless Covenant fleet.

Using specialized EVA Booster Frames, strength, speed and a little bit of luck, the team must penetrate the enemy's defenses and recover the package before the Covenant realize exactly what they've got. This fast-paced episode combines CG with more traditional anime techniques as well as Aramaki's signature design aesthetic to create a style unique in the Halo Universe.
