The Matterhorn is a mountain in the Pennine Alps of Earth. With its 14,692 foot high summit, lying on the border between Switzerland and Italy, it is one of the highest peaks in the Alps and its 3,937 foot north face is one of the Great north faces of the Alps.
Dr. Catherine Halsey keeps a snowglobe on her desk that depicts the mountain being scaled by a Swiss climber.[1]
