- Hauser was voiced by actor John Swasey.[3]
- His name, rank, and appearance may be a reference to Sergeant Conrad "Duke" Hauser of the popular G.I. Joe franchise.
- Sergeant Hauser and his Marines used an older marine battle dress uniform, (first seen in Halo Wars), while Ralph-103 wore a more modern uniform, (first seen in Halo 3).
