Kantar 'Utaralee is a Sangheili fleetmaster of the Ministry of Fervent Intercession who once served as a shipmaster within the Fleet of Valiant Prudence.[1] He is of the same clan as Buran 'Utaral.[3]
Biography
Kantar 'Utaralee served as the second-in-command of Rho 'Barutamee, Supreme Commander of the Fleet of Valiant Prudence. By July 23, 2552, the fleet located Reach in the Epsilon Eridani system and attacked the planet. Through Operation: UPPER CUT, the defending United Nations Space Command forces managed to destroy supercarrier Long Night of Solace, and 'Barutamee was presumed dead. As engagements continued in orbit over Reach, Shipmaster Kantar 'Utaralee assumed command of the splintered fleet and attempted to lead them in a final effort to recover a Forerunner artifact that 'Barutamee had attempted to claim for himself. 'Utaralee's forces moved to engage a small UNSC picket fleet that was defending the artifact's location, a space station near the moon of Turul.[1] Shortly after, a larger fleet from the Ministry of Resolution arrived in the system to engage UNSC forces.[4]
At some point, Kantar 'Utaralee became a fleetmaster. 'Utaralee became the first to deploy the "Golden Path" Battle Group formation. A firm believer in the prowess of the CCS-class battlecruiser, 'Utaralee moved to reinforce the medium sized vessel with two SDV-class heavy corvettes. The result proved to be devastating to its opponents.[2]
