Alpha Corvi, also named Alchiba, is a yellow-white star located 49 light years from the Sol system. It is the fifth-brightest star in the constellation Corvus.[1]
History
At some point before the twenty-sixth century, Humanity colonized the planetary system, establishing a precarious colony on Alpha Corvi II. During the Human-Covenant War, the Master Chief and Blue Team were deployed by the UNSC to Alpha Corvi II to halt the Covenant's efforts to uncover something hidden below the planet's surface.[2]
