Major General Nicolas Strauss was a high ranking UNSC Air Force, Army, or Marine officer in 2552. He represented his service on the UNSC Security Committee based in Sydney, Australia on Earth. He was apparently intimidated by Colonel James Ackerson for some reason, which is not yet known, though it is possible that Strauss knew about the SPARTAN-III project.[1]
