Commander Svenson is an Office of Naval Intelligence agent and leader of Oscar Squad.[1]
Biography
A large man with a square jaw, Svenson was estimated by Veta Lopis to have been in his mid-thirties by 2553.[1]
On October 14, 2553, Svenson and Oscar Squad were conducting a training exercise against a Ferret team led by Veta Lopis at the UNSC Recreational Facility 6055-NA-A on Neos Atlantis. Svenson was in the facility's officers' club when Olivia-G291 was drugged by investigative reporter Spencer Hume and Dark Moon Enterprises agent Ota Gallo posing as a server. When Lopis attempted to get to Olivia, Svenson stepped in the former's way, ostensibly attempting to greet her. Accusing Svenson of dosing Olivia, Lopis hyperextended his elbow and punched him in the kidney, temporarily incapacitating him. Shortly afterward, Svenson witnessed Mark-G313 and Ash-G099 carrying Hume's body outside the club but soon lost them around a corner. After losing the pair, he found blood and, following standard procedure, Svenson intended to clean up the scene; when he returned, however, he found it already done.[1]
Svenson reported what he had seen to Rear Admiral Serin Osman, who took him to see Veta's team. After Lopis and Svenson traded suspicions for a while, he denied Hume and the server were a part of his squad. He then fervently denied dosing Olivia with nicothiotal, claiming that he would never use it during a training exercise. After discussing what happened in the hallway, Veta accused Svenson of using this incident as a way to get into the Ferrets' safe house. Svenson denied that was the case, but Osman sent him out to wait with her escorts.[1]
