Rehkov was the second captain of the Phoenix-class colony ship, the UNSC Spirit of Fire, succeeding Captain Coleman in 2484.[1] Under Captain Rehkov, the Spirit of Fire aided in the UNSC's interstellar expansion efforts by transporting colonists and equipment for colonization, including pre-fabricated structures such as schools and hydroponics facilities.[2] Captain Rehkov served until 2491, when his or her position was filled by Captain Donald. By at least 2531, Rehkov's name and their period service as captain were painted onto the side of the Spirit of Fire's hull.[1]
