The Atlas Moons, as their name suggests, were the moons of the planet Atlas.

During the Human-Covenant War, these moons were the site of the Siege of the Atlas Moons, where UNSC forces fought the Covenant throughout the territory. Vice Admiral Danforth Whitcomb was later recognized for his accomplishments during the battle.[1]
