Given how Linda and Fred both were testing variants of the Mjolnir armor during the Battle of Onyx, wouldn't that mean that Will would have to be the Spartan in the default Mjolnir Mark VI? I'm sure it was intended to be Fred originally, and we could argue that it is just artistic licence or a general depiction of the novel's events. Ghosts of Onyx cover
