Ramonda Avelos was a human politician on the Outer Colony of Gao. Avelos served as the founding director of the program that led to Gao's colonization and later became the first President of the Gao Republic. Her legacy was immortalized as a hologram in the People's Collection of Presidential Holographs, located in the Gao Cabinet Chamber in the People's Palace. Avelos' hologram features her waist-deep in cycads, in a pioneer's pressure suit peeled open at the collar.[1]
