The M6H Personal Defense Weapon System is a handgun in service with the UNSC. It is part of Misriah Armory's widespread M6 series. The M6H was in service as an officer's model[1] as early as 2526[2][3] and was made the standard-issue sidearm of all UNSC personnel in 2555.[4]
Specifications
The M6H is a semi-automatic, recoil-operated, magazine-fed handgun. It is an up-sized model (17% larger than standard versions) with a smart-linked KFA-2 x2 scope and an electroless nickel finish.[1] It fires the M6 series' standard 12.7x40mm ammunition. The M6H is effective at reasonably long distances as well as its preferred close-to-medium-range.[4]
Variant
M6H2 Personal Defense Weapon
A second iteration of the weapon exists, designated M6H2.[5][note 1] This variant sports a black polymer finish and a 12-round magazine. Functionally, the M6H2 performs identically to its predecessor aside from its increased accuracy of rapid fire and the benefit of a deeper magazine capacity. Aesthetically however, the weapon bears drastic modifications to its body, with essentially nothing identical. Most notable of these modifications include an entirely different slide design, and a completely reworked top-mounted module to support Smart Scope functionality.
Gameplay

- Higher accuracy/less bloom.
Changes from M6H in Halo 4 to M6H2 in Halo 5: Guardians
- Increased magazine size to 12
- Less bloom/greater accuracy

Note
- ^ Weapon designations printed on in-game weapon models often differ from their given canon designations once game development has been completed. Therefore, this is not a reliable source. However, as the only source available it should be taken as canon until a more official source gives the weapon its designation.
