Overview

Strongholds is a new multiplayer gametype for Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta, that focuses on capturing three static territories. Strongholds will be featured in week 3 of the multiplayer beta and playable on Eden, Empire, and Regret.[1]

Gameplay

Strongholds plays much like Dominion in Halo 4 where you capture a "base" to score points. In Strongholds the first team to score 100 points wins the game. Scoring points require teams to capture a non moving base and defend it from the enemy team. 343 industries says they designed the game type so that it would be hard to control all three points at the same time without stretching your team too thin.[2]
