The Prophets' Bane is Arbiter Thel 'Vadam's personal energy sword.[1] The blade's name is a testament to 'Vadam's staunch opposition to the Prophets' leadership ever since the latter days of the Human-Covenant War and the beginning of the Great Schism.
Gameplay
The Prophets' Bane is a usable melee weapon in Halo 5: Guardians and will be featured in the game's multiplayer beta at least on the map Truth. The weapon can be wielded exactly as a regular energy sword. However, the lunge attack has a greater range, effectively increasing the player's movement abilities.[2]
Trivia
- An achievement of the same name appears in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It requires the player to complete every level of the Halo 3 campaign on Normal difficulty.
