One aspect they differ in largely from the Unggoy Minor is their combat harness. The harness covers only their torso, and the helmet is very minimalistic. Storm is a rank of Unggoy serving under Jul 'Mdama's reformed Covenant.[1][2]
Description
Storm Unggoy are the lowest ranking Unggoy in the new Covenant order. They serve virtually the same role as the Unggoy Minor that served in the Covenant. They very commonly flee from battle, and are essentially used as cannon fodder, with the Sangheili using the Storm Unggoy's large numbers to their advantage. Like their Minor predecessors, Storm Unggoy will sometimes prime two plasma grenades and charge their enemies in a kamikaze attack.
Equipment
One aspect they differ in largely from the Unggoy Minor is their combat harness. The harness covers only their torso, and the helmet is very minimalistic. In an effort to increase field of view, this role favors nose-placed rebreathers somewhat resembling the diving apparatuses used on the Unggoy homeworld of Balaho. The harness comes in the traditional orange color, as well as blue, violet, green, yellow, and red. The harness also allows for the Grunt to use the methane tank as a makeshift thruster pack, allowing for easy access in various terrains.
