Ambient Wonder is the seventh track included in the Halo: Original Soundtrack.
Overview
It is defined by a constant, steady to slowly modulating synthesizer tone approximating the sound of an upbeat jazz organ. At 00:14, a slight undertone of shifting higher notes begins to show under the synth melody. Over the next few minutes, these two parts blend and weave together to produce a soft, ambient piece reminiscent of (and based on) the main Halo theme.
Appearances
The track can be heard in the level The Truth and Reconciliation, when the UNSC forces enters Truth and Reconciliation through the gravity lift, and when they enter the bridge.
Remastered versions
It is remastered into the following:
- Orbit of Glass or Opening Volley of the Sacred Icon Suite in Halo 2: Original Soundtrack.
- Paranoid Illusions in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary: Original Soundtrack
