Gut Check was a bar on Halsted Street in the Greater Chicago Industrial Zone in the United Republic of North America on Earth.[1] It was visited by Avery J. Johnson after his Aunt Marcille's death.
During Johnson's visit, he became too physical with one of the club's girls, and, when reprimanded by a bouncer, a fight ensued resulting in Avery knocking out two bouncers and stumbling away from the club before the Zone's police force arrived.
