Template:Vehicle Infobox The Mantis is a combat powered exoskeleton introduced into the UNSC Defense Force in the post-war years. [1] It is one of the only known ground combat vehicles of the UNSC named after an insect.

Overview

Standing roughly twenty feet tall, the Mantis is similar in appearance to the larger Cyclops Mark II. It features a large-caliber rotary cannon on the right arm and five rocket pods on the left arm. The Mantis is also equipped with energy shields. [2] The Mantis was first used by the Marines aboard UNSC Port Stanley [3] and later when the UNSC Infinity encountered Requiem in 2557.[1]

Production notes

The overall design of the vehicle greatly resembles the Metal Gear REX from the Metal Gear series.
