Sure, the cruiser's shipboard Marine contingent would have provided support, but there's nothing in canon to suggest otherwise.

Well, here's the PM. We've settled on the talk page that the ODST were not present or assigned to Operation: RED FLAG, but were onboard the Pillar simply to evacuate Reach, as there is no mention of their involvement in The Fall of Reach. Unless you know of any evidence to the contrary, please alter the page to reflect this, as currently it is protected, as you know.
