Warial, along with Soirapt and Teash, was one of the three natural satellites orbiting Doisac, the Jiralhanae homeworld and the third planet in the Oth Sonin system.
It's unknown whether Warial supports life or not.

Overview
Topography
Warial is known to have bodies of water which Jiralhanae sail across and storms of slow, blue lightning are not uncommon. These aforementioned bodies of water are the sites of graves. The smog-filled barrens of Doda’keyt were home to toxic chemicals, used to create the stimulants ingested by Jiralhanae Berserkers. The moon is additionally home to the brimstone-dockyards of Ividar Rux, used for repairing warships.
Warial also featured chalk fields, which the Banished used to create pigments and give the Volatile variant of the Flaktura Workshop Skewer its white chassis.

History
In early Jiralhanae history, their loosely held religion was based on the lunar cycles of Warial and the other two moons, as they perpetually haunted Doisac's skyline. The moon was later colonised, along with Teash. Warial was noted for being the most far-flung of the Jiralhanae colonies. While hunting humans on Beta Gabriel in 2552, Ceretus hoped his clan would be able to hide away on Warial and blend in to avoid punishment for fleeing from the Fall of Reach.

Following the collapse of the Covenant in 2552, Warial almost immediately fell into infighting between the various clans that dotted the surface. Unlike Teash, the Banished were unable to gain much of a stabilising foothold on Warial due to the local clans' distrust of anything resembling the Covenant empire of old. As such, the moon fell into a long and gruelling war of attrition as local factions fought bitterly over the limited local resources on-hand. The moon became home to raider lairs and by September 2558, clans under the Voice of Maardoth on Warial were starving - something which prompted the chieftain, Hekabe, to attempt to seize more power for the sake of his people.

During the Razing of Oth Sonin by Created Guardian Custodes in late 2559, Warial's surface was struck by massive amounts of debris from the now-destroyed Doisac, with the majority of outposts on the surface facing the cataclysm completely destroyed in the blast. In the end up, only a few hundred thousand Wariali were able to escape the moon between Cortana's genocidal act and the cataclysmic events which followed it.

Government and society
Prior to the destruction of Doisac, Warial was home to various clans embroiled in bitter wars of attrition for the control of the moon's limited resources. As such, no one power held dominant sway over the moon. The Voice of Maardoth, based themselves out of Doisac, had sub-clans based on Warial while the Banished also tried to gain some sway over the moon to limited success. The Warial's Wrath clan were one of those groups who accepted Atriox's offer, having abandoned the Covenant during the war with humanity and joined the Banished in 2550—well before the war's conclusion.

The destruction of Doisac rendered Warial—along with the other moons—completely uninhabitable, with only a few hundred thousand able to escape the apocalyptic devastation visited upon the moon. As such, it presumably no longer has any functioning society.
