After auspicious stints flying a wide range of fighter craft, Makovich was invited to join the [[SPARTAN-IV program]] at some point following the [[Human-Covenant War]].{{Ref/Reuse|EN}}

At some point between [[2557]] and [[2558]], Vedrana Makovich participated in [[F-41 Broadsword]] sorties on [[Requiem]]. As the ''Infinity'' fell to the Banished assault, Makovich and her teammate [[Henri Malik]] engaged [[Banshee]]s that were attacking the lifeboats launching from the ''Infinity''.{{Ref/Reuse|e6}}{{Ref/Novel|RP|1}} Their support extended to clearing the space along the ''Infinity''{{'}}s [[M9407 drop pod|drop pod]] [[R1295 Launching Systems|ejection tubes]] to allow for the deployment of Spartans and [[Orbital Drop Shock Troopers|ODSTs]].{{Ref/Novel|RP|Chapter=2}} By December 13, Makovich has made landfall on the surface of the ring, and was fighting [[Forerunner]] [[Sentinel]]s when a giant explosion on the ring fractured its surface.
