The corporal and his unit were assigned to investigate a blackout at the [[Visegrad Relay]] in [[2552#July|July 23, 2552]]. A [[Covenant]] [[Sangheili Zealot|Zealot]] [[Devoted Sentries|strike team]] infiltrated the facility, [[Battle of Visegrád|attacking the troopers]] and [[civilian]]s inside. The corporal was in the relay's control room at the time and was cut off from the rest of his unit. At some point during the attack he was wounded. [[SPARTAN Program|SPARTAN]] [[Noble Team]] soon arrived and the corporal told [[Commander]] [[Carter-A259]] what had happened. Suddenly, a [[Sangheili]] [[Sangheili Field Marshal|Field Marshal]] and two Zealots attacked Noble Team, taking the corporal hostage as they evacuated. He held on to the door as the Zealots left, but he was soon pulled away.
