Turacos have a long profile, featuring a fore section with a cockpit and a small passenger bay, with two large VTOL-capable engines and a long tail boom at the rear. The long tail on the ship is fitted with a full suite of long-range sensor packages.{{Ref/Reuse|Enc22}} To aid their operation in flight, they are fitted with [[Anti-gravity technology|anti-gravity]] pads.{{Ref/Novel|Id=HR18|HRet|Chapter=18}} Unlike other broadly similar craft such as [[subprowler]]s and [[D102 Owl]], Turacos are not fitted with significant stealth capabilities - but are instead equipped with an extensive armour configuration and a short-ranged [[slipspace drive]]. ==Operational history==
