Throughout his life, Toha 'Sumai worked as a bladesman of renown on [[Sanghelios]], bringing great honor to his home province of [[Bothaes]]. By [[2555#March|March 2555]], 'Sumai had been killed,{{Ref/Reuse|hitd}} assassinated by his former student, [[Okro 'Vagaduun]]. 'Sumai's death was undertaken as part of 'Vagaduun's initiation process to join the [[Banished]]. Under the teachings of [[Atriox]], 'Vagaduun was sworn to abandon his former history and notion of honor, which meant he was tasked with killing his former mentor. 'Vagaduun reluctantly approached 'Sumai while saying nothing and the two dueled one another. The duel ended with 'Vagaduun running 'Sumai through on his [[Energy sword (fiction)|energy sword]], killing him for the payment of sport and spoils.
