Technical Chief Thom Shephard was a United Nations Space Command engineering technician aboard the Halcyon-class cruiser UNSC Pillar of Autumn in 2552.[1]
Biography[edit]
Thom, along with Tech Officer Samuel Marcus, unsealed Spartan John-117 from his cryo-chamber before the Battle of Installation 04. He ran him through several diagnostics and tests for his MJOLNIR Mark V armor. Soon after, Captain Jacob Keyes called the Chief to the bridge of the ship as a boarding party of Covenant arrived. A single Sangheili entered the control center of Cryo-B, killing Marcus. Shephard then told the Master Chief to follow him to the bridge and rushed out the door, where he was killed by a conduit explosion in the wall.[2]
Trivia[edit]
- In the original Halo: Combat Evolved Shephard's appearance will vary slightly from each playthrough, appearing as generic crewman models. In Anniversary Shephard has his own unique character model based on Mathieu, a Make-a-Wish kid who wanted to live forever in Halo.[3]
