| ==Biography==
| | Ther 'Vadam was a member of the Vadam family, rulers of the State of Vadam. He used to hold the title of Kaidon and was an ancestor to Kaidon Thel 'Vadamee, A. K. A. the Arbiter. |
| After losing a war with one of Vadam's bitter rivals, Ther's enemies claimed rule over the state and placed 'Vadam and his kin in the cellar jails of Vadam keep, where they were mocked by the invaders and fed scraps to prolong their miserable lives. Many of his honorable brethren killed themselves or each other. After weeks of starvation, Ther became thin enough to squeeze through the bars of his window, scale the cliffs below, and swim downriver to Vadam Valley. For many days he walked, eating vermin and scraps before entering the vast deserts of Yermo. There, he wandered for many years, building strength and hardness, making allies with other wanderers. While their statuses were lower than Ther's, they were willing to fight for him and possessed a will to live no matter the odds.

| With his new allies gathered, Ther returned to Vadam and attacked the keep, scaling the walls of the tower and slaying his usurpers. He threw their bodies into the river, which legend had it ran purple with blood for a week. Upon gaining control of the state, he had every inmate of the keep too cowardly to commit suicide executed, and from there rebuilt his family.
| | According to the Vadam saga, he lost a war with one of Vadam's rivals. The new Kaidon had him and his soldiers placed in the keep's jails, where they were mocked and fed scraps to prolong their miserable lives. Many of his brethren killed themselves in order to keep what was left of their honor. Ther managed to escape after weeks of starvation, becoming thin enough to squeeze through the bars of his window, scale the cliffs below, and enter a valley, before swimming away down river. For many days he walked, eating vermin and whatever else he could find before entering the deserts. There, he wandered for many years, building strength and hardness, making allies from others like him, willing to fight and live no matter the odds. |

| His life was added to the saga wall within Vadam keep, a wall with the history of the House of 'Vadam carved into it. Ther's image is engraved in the first panel of the saga wall; when viewed by Crei 'Ayomuu, he noted that the extensive history of Vadam's notable figures was likely encouraging Thel 'Vadam to try and follow in Ther's footsteps by rebuilding the Swords of Sanghelios and establishing the Concert of Worlds. | | With his new allies he attacked the keep, scaled the walls of the tower and killed his usurpers. He threw their bodies into the river, which legend had it ran purple with Sangheili blood for a week. Upon reinstatement as Kaidon, he had every inmate of the keep too cowardly to commit suicide executed, and from there rebuilt his family. His name is very nearly the same as the Arbiter's, the name of the Arbiter was possibly inspired by this. |
| | |
| | His life was added to the "Vadam Saga," a wall with Vadam's history carved into it. |
