| The temple in the original ''[[Halo 2]]'' was modelled in its entirety (both interior and exterior) by [[Paul Russel]]. Russel initially built the temple to twice the size it would later be in the final game before scaling it down, noting that his inspiration for the design came from the [[Wikipedia:United States Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel|United States Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel]]. Russel originally modelled the temples to be built of the same Forerunner metal used elsewhere across the series, before [[Vic DeLeon]] did a material pass to convert them into stone structures.{{Ref/X|docabominable|1516954017796083714|Paul Russel|Quote=I did Regret’s temple.
