In early Jiralhanae history, their loosely held religion was based on the lunar cycles of Teash and the other two moons, as they perpetually haunted Doisac's skyline.{{Ref/Site|URL=https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/universe/species/jiralhanae|Site=Halo Waypoint|Page=Jiralhanae|D=30|M=10|Y=2021}}

Teash was the most prominent and prosperous of all the Doisacian moons by a significant margin. The moon was historically home to brothels and raider lairs of the Jiralhanae,{{Ref/Anthology|Evo|Stomping on the Heels of a Fuss}} with multiple [[clan]]s staking a strong claim on the moon's soil especially in the wake of the collapse of the [[Covenant]] empire. In the wake of the [[War of Annihilation]], [[Chieftain]] [[Lydus]] left for Teash with a small group of young Jiralhanae he affectionately called the [[Children of Oth Sonin]], and attempted to establish order on Doisac when they first began to grow.{{Ref/Book|Id=Enc22p255|Enc22|Page=255}} The Banished would come to act as an overall stabilizing force on Teash, coming to dominate much of the local politics and preventing the moon from falling into bloody civil war as was the case on Warial.{{Ref/Reuse|Enc22p447}} Teash had also seen unexpectedly influx of [[Sangheili]] fleeing from their [[Blooding Years|civil war]] on their own worlds, with several [[Keep]]s pledging allegiance to the [[Banished]].{{Ref/Reuse|Enc22p447}}

The stability offered on Teash allowed the moon to become home to numerous [[clan workshop]]s and war-forges{{Ref/Reuse|Enc22p447}} including the [[Crucibles of Dovotaa]].{{Ref/Reuse|Dovotaa}} The [[Forge of Teash (location)|Forge of Teash]] operated by the Banished on [[Installation 07]] was named after the moon, as was the [[Sorrow of Teash]] specialised [[Kewu R'shi'k-pattern plasma rifle|Brute plasma rifle]]. For a time, Teash's industrial output rivalled that of Doisac itself, allowing the moon to become a key part of the Jiralhanae economy.{{Ref/Reuse|Enc22p447}}

Teash was heavily damaged during the [[Razing of Oth Sonin]], though networks of anti-air artillery installed by the local clans for defence against raiders did allow much of the debris from Doisac's destruction to be shot down before impacting Teash. This allowed thousands of spacecraft to successfully evacuate the moon, with their survivors relocating to colonies on [[Gathved]], [[Ordun Dal]], and [[Savadok]]. Teash itself was physically devastated in [[Cortana]]'s genocide, with only isolated redoubts remaining on the barren surface, while scavenger ships continue to pick at the remains of the once-vibrant colony.{{Ref/Reuse|Id=Enc22p447}}
