I understand that we never saw any Stealth Sangheili in Halo 3. However, we can assume that if they do appear in Halo 3, they would no doubt use the same harness used by the Specops. This is coupled with the visual evidence as seen in H:Anniversary where Stealth Sangheili are shown to utilise the same harness used by the Specops, though without any energy shielding. Now, as to why the lack of energy shielding is not present in 4-player co-op, I can simply say "gameplay reasons". The best example of this would be the absence of the Arbiter's cloaking ability from H2, which has been replaced with a flashlight that appears out of nowhere.— subtank 22:18, 3 April 2012 (EDT)

:Never mind. I guess I put too much thinking into this. But I still think we should make a minor change from "fleet security officer" to "fleet security staff". I personally blame myself... don't know what I was thinking back in 2010. :P — subtank 10:56, 4 April 2012 (EDT)
Canon appearance in "The Covenant" ?
I was taking screenshots in the Halo 3's level The Covenant, just after the double-scarab battle, and noticed the two elites at the plasma turrets of the green phantom : they have the exact colors of Usze 'Taham and N'tho 'Sraom ! Besides, the armor "Usze" wears isn't assault variation, but the special color is the same. Screenshots are available here and here.
So, do you think these are our little companions ? ΛWant to speak ? 10:35, 18 January 2013 (EST)
:Huh. Nice find. Here's an AI Elite Major and the player-controlled 'Taham. The (Phantom) Red Elite's color is closer to 'Taham's than it is to an AI Elite Major. I'm quite convinced that those two are our unsung heroes! —SPARTAN331 11:38, 18 January 2013 (EST)
::Looks just like them! Good find!-- 11:46, 18 January 2013 (EST)
I would say the colours are just good coincidences. The Majors in Halo 3 have variations, so it is likely that what we see is one of these colour variations. — subtank 05:12, 19 January 2013 (EST)
:The AI-controlled Elites featured in the variation screenshot still have different colors. One's darker, and one's more red. While I'm not completely supporting this, I would love to believe they are if we have more sources. —SPARTAN331 08:49, 19 January 2013 (EST)
See if the colors are recurring, especially on different difficulties. If those guys appear on the same Phantom each time, it could easily be them.
