| Frank actually says " So you’ll see a few differences, choices of Covenant ship, weapons and so on, but it adheres tightly to the core canon, with a few flourishes here and there to fill in gaps or smooth over previous errors." If anything this means the animated series retcons the novel.Councilor 'Rumilee (talk) 21:45, 4 November 2015 (EST)

| :I think he is addressing the differences but reassuring people that the main story will be as true to the original work as they could make it. The Unrelenting is one of the differences they made, which means the class remains ambiguous :( -- Topal the Pilot <small>(<span style="color:green">Talk</span>|<span style="color:green">Contribs</span>)</small> 21:59, 4 November 2015 (EST)

| Bit of a long shot in the dark here, but wouldn't a DAS-class storm cutter fit the bill more nicely? With the little info we have to go off of, we know that the size of the Unrelenting has to be 1/3rd the size of the UNSC Commonwealth. The Paris-class, being 535.05 meters in length, dividing by 3 gets up 178.35 meters. With the CRS being 300 meters, the Commonwealth is 1.7835 times the size of the CRS-class light cruiser.
| |
| By comparison, with the introduction of the storm cutter in Halo: Warfleet, we have a vessel that comes in at 225 meters in length. This sits much closer to that original figure of 178.35 meters. The ideal length would probably be something like 200 meters, but for now the storm cutter sits closer to that original description, even if the depiction does not.
