Well maybe it is a Forerunner ship.I mean all of the forerunner technology that was discovered was destroyed.Plus there are a bunch of Forerunner artifacts under Reach.Plus the covenant technology didin't look like a tenth of the forerunner technology.Plus, I listened to the legendary commentary and they did say it was a colony ship but they didn't say it was UNSC so in my opinion, it is a Forerunner ship with Forerunners in it.Jamesgg521 17:24, 24 November 2010 (EST) | Well maybe it is a Forerunner ship.I mean all of the forerunner technology that was discovered was destroyed.Plus there are a bunch of Forerunner artifacts under Reach.Plus the covenant technology didin't look like a tenth of the forerunner technology.Plus, I listened to the legendary commentary and they did say it was a colony ship but they didn't say it was UNSC so in my opinion, it is a Forerunner ship with Forerunners in it.Jamesgg521 17:24, 24 November 2010 (EST) | ||
:You can argue that it looks Forerunner, but really, humanity seems top have developed a similar fetish for blocky angles and slants in the 26th century. At times, I thought some of the architecture and geometry in New Alexandria looked very Forerunner. So without any followup material or explanations from Bungie/343i, there seems to be little real evidence that its Forerunner. Forerunner inspired, though, is a different matter - as you said, there's all those relics under Reach, and humanity must spend some time post-war reverse-engineering the portal and other Covenant/Forerunner tech. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 18:32, 24 November 2010 (EST) | :You can argue that it looks Forerunner, but really, humanity seems top have developed a similar fetish for blocky angles and slants in the 26th century. Yes, but what is the proof of it being human in the first place! Thats what Im saying and dont say it said so in the legendary commentary because I watched the ending three times to make sure and they just say colony ship, not human ship in any way.Jamesgg521 19:50, 8 December 2010 (EST) | Yes, but what is the proof of it being human in the first place! :The Covenant use ships that are dominated by Sangheili and Prophet aesthetics, hybridised into the "Covenant" style. Elite ships would still bear resemblance to those of the Covenant, even if they could build them. And while the Kig-Yar did have ships, they were essentially intra-system craft - no slipspace or FTL systems, limiting them to their own space. Hence why they were so willing to work with humans in exchange for slipspace drives. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 02:45, 8 March 2011 (EST) | :The Covenant use ships that are dominated by Sangheili and Prophet aesthetics, hybridised into the "Covenant" style.
