isn't it possible that the spirit of fire has 4 MAC guns because on the level dome of  light at the end you got to shoot through that big  hole in the shield dome but when serina takes control she says that the MAC's are online and she goes crazy with the MAC gun(s). just a theory.

it's possible that it has 4 MAC guns because you can fire 4 rounds in rapid succession one after another or it's just a MAC gun with...a bit too much juice!!

it is possible, but improbable. even if the ship was designed to fire shots with less power, the ability to recapture the cannons charge wasn't seen until 2552 on the PoA. Also, it is improbable that the ship could land the rounds with such accuracy. Take the ODST pods for example, even in 2552 with thrusters and even an AI and a firing system designed to fire into atmosphere, they didn't land precisely on target. So it seems unlikely that an unguided MAC round would be able to. Would it be more practical to just assume that the feature was added to balance the gameplay, but isn't as accurate with previous cannon as it should be?
