In Halo 2, Miranda was introduced wearing her dress uniform. However, when the ceremony is interrupted she remains wearing her dress uniform until she has a chance to get changed into something more battle-appropriate. She stays in NWU for the rest of Halo 2. However, when she is introduced in Halo 3 she is wearing service uniform, as befits a base CO. She likely wears this throughout Halo 3 to save the animators making another high-poly (for the time) model. This would explain the changes in uniform design over the course of the series in a far more streamlined way. | In Halo 2, Miranda was introduced wearing her dress uniform.
