'''Spartan-III Alpha Company''' was the first company of SPARTAN-III's. They were trained by Lieutenant Kurt Ambrose, formerly SPARTAN-051, one of the SPARTAN-II series. They were 497 of them recruited as four, five, and six year old's orphaned by covenenant attacks on various colonies.

Um... I'm in support of the capitalization change, by the "company" in the S-III companies is actually capitalized in the book. Since that's the name of the unit, wouldn't that be the correct way to spell it considering we were supposed to use the canonical names? Also, the Greek letters for the Spartan tags weren't used in the book. :Hm... it's a capitalised part of the actual name... so we might. The Greek letters for Alpha were used in the Beta trailer (see what I did there?) and are acceptable, seeing as A; B and G stand for "Alpha" (α); "Beta" (β) and "Gamma" (γ) as opposed to the Latin letters (as used in "A company" of the 405th which, although A stands for Alpha in this usage also, it is the NATO Phonetic Alpha, and thus is spelt Latin-wise.). And as mentioned, in this case, the word "Company" is a part of the unit's name and is always capitalized in the book. The book never uses the Greek letters but seeing as they're in Birth of a Spartan, I guess they're acceptable, as long as the Latin letters are used as standard like you said. Even then, the Greek letters have only been used in one instance. -Well maybe not all of them we know they was about 497 of Alpha Company, with 300 deceased, that would make 97 still alive by that time of Operation PROMETHEUS, like as such Kai-A019 maybe deceased but it's highly unlikely he died but he might still be alive, Carter-A259 would later be killed in Reach, Emile-A239 met his fate on Reach, Jun-A266 would be stated the sole survivor but they maybe others, Thom=A293 although he dies in Deliver Hope, (if I did a movie considered Cannon I would have Thom used in Bungie's original ideas making him a living member for the film and Noble Seven as he should have done, and his replacement will be replaced by Todd-A285,) and Rosenda=A344 (she likely survives) but they maybe some others alive if where in the Spartan program that is, [[User:Colby James|Colby James]] ([[User talk:Colby James|talk]]) 00:25, 25 March 2016 (EDT)
