| Well, if the UNSC functions like today's Air Force, they might use something like this:Urine Collection Device. That would be my guess, or they might have a more advanced version given they are 500 years advanced. Plus, if they land on a planet with suitable atmosphere, they could just step outside. | Is the number at the end of their designation connected to the Escape hatch they are loaunched from? Maybe we could ask Bungie if they're still takin questions.Forerunner 18:27, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

| And because Bungie could not figure out what was more effective, forcing the Master Chief tojump out of the PoA, or using the lifeboat that did the same thing, except killed all the marines in his life boat. Too bad they did not Modify the PoA's lifeboats like they did to the rest of the PoA... SPARTAN-118

| yea but they werent exactly expecting them to eject over a habitable planet...they were expecting deep-space combat. Not exactly the best place to hop into a lifeboat and abandon ship in! especially with no faster-than-light drive/thrusters of any kind. plus they kinda had a time crunch when they were modding it. anonymous

| 9 people per lifepod seems dangerously low for a ship of the PoA's size, and given that capacity, I think that just makes 12 lifepods sound strange. Only 12 lifepods on the PoA? That would make for a maximum of 108 crewmember and marine survivors, not counting the ODSTs which dropped in SOEIVs. I somehow doubt that the PoA had a combined crew and military count of only 100 or so, and relying on Pelicans and SOEIVs would seem like a cheap excuse for Navy regulations in my opinion. ---dky 16:11, 29 October 2010 (EDT)

| Can someone get a screenshot of the escape pods in the first level of Halo 4? I don't know if they are Bumblebees or not. I would assume that they are though.Rprince418 (talk) 19:57, 24 March 2014 (EDT)

| |
| :They are not. They are round, roughly cone shaped pods not unlike the Apollo mission space capsules that landed back in the ocean, but taller. I might be able to get a render of one. *UPDATE. I managed to grab a render and provide a pic.

| Alright, thanks man! I'm not tech savvy or I would have gotten it. Yah, I thought it looked different, but I couldn't get a good look before that entire wall they were connected to was ripped away.Rprince418 (talk) 23:34, 24 March 2014 (EDT)

| :The wall itself is pretty neat as well. Several pods are in place along the wall and there's a walkway that allows you to get to them. Unfortunately, this is for the Halo 4 abomination of a Charon-class. This would not fit the Halo 3 version which I maintain is the "real" Forward Unto Dawn. :) -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 06:37, 25 March 2014 (EDT)

| Yah, especially since we only see Halo 4's Forward Unto Dawn for a little, I just assume the previous Charon class depictions are canon and this was just artistic license.Rprince418 (talk) 11:00, 25 March 2014 (EDT)

| ==Escape Pod Article==
| |
|
| |
| Hey, shouldn't there be an escape pod article that covers this topic? With as many as three different types of escape pods/lifeboats, it would probably be necessary to have one to cover all three as part of a list, as well as to cover the overall generic escape pods and noting anything worth mentioning. I can do it myself, but there's a lot of ground to cover, and not to mention the time I'm spending working and keeping the house clean for potential buyers. If everyone supports this, then that's good to hear, and thus would also appreciate it if someone would at least get the ball rolling on this. But if not, well, please voice your concerns on this matter. --Xamikaze330 [Transmission|Commencing] 23:29, 2 April 2014 (EDT)Xamikaze330

| :With the current quantity of articles, it wouldn't be sufficient to justify the creation of a hub article. So far, there's only two UNSC escape pods (this one and the one in H4) and the one from The Package. Rather, I would suggest adding a section titled "See also" or "Related pages" at the end of the article, with links to these other two articles.— subtank 08:55, 3 April 2014 (EDT)

| ==PoA's Lifepods==
| |
| I highly doubt that the PoA only carries 18 Bumblebee lifepods. In the original game that was clearly the number, yes. But in Anniversary and in most newer incarnations I do believe most UNSC ships are shown to have a lot more such craft aboard, which would make sense given their respective crew sizes. So should we still say 18 or assume that Halcyons and most other ships have a lot more such pods? Any comment?262VigilantGuardian (talk) 21:00, 17 April 2015 (EDT)
| |
| :It could be rewritten to say "at least 18". Halo 1 isn't completely invalidated I hope. I wouldn't like seeing anything put into an article that's an 'assumption' without some sourcing. Stick with the facts when you can. :) -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 21:43, 17 April 2015 (EDT)
