I wonder if he's going to be in Halo 3, even though he's dead. If he's a Prophet Form, he could be in Halo 3, but the actor died. But then again, Julie Benz isn't gonna be Miranda Keyes in Halo 3, so you never know. Epeu | I wonder if he's going to be in Halo 3, even though he's dead. :Even though Truth had betrayed him, he still believed in the Covenant and was gloating. : | : Really? I thought he was revealing that he didn't actually think that the humans were unworthy and that they would ascend to godhood just like the Covenant. From his tone it didn't seem to me like he was gloating at all, but he instead sounded at peace. I thought the scene was supposed to show that Mercy was a good person who honestly believed in salvation for all and the promise of the Great Journey. After he witnessed Mendicant Bias claim that the humans were "his makers", he may have come to believe that the humans were also worthy to go on the Great Journey because they were related to the Forerunners and may have been left behind by accident, unlike Regret, and Truth, who thought that the humans were left behind because they were weak Forerunners. However, he was dominated by the stronger personalities of the other Hierarchs.
: | : I actually viewed the Master Chief's killing of Mercy as an act of mercy, rather than violence. Mercy was going to die anyway, but instead of letting him die a slow, agonizing death at the hands of the Flood (as Truth had done), the Master Chief decided to kill him quickly, so that he wouldn't have to suffer. This of course is ironic, as John-117 is performing an act of mercy towards the dying Prophet of Mercy, whose own sense of mercy was questionable in life.--User:Webspidrman 23 January 2010 (UTC)

You'll notice as a philologist he is the leader for all of the Ascetic priests, which is a position very likely to be one within the council itself. After all, what is more important than religion to the Covenant?InnerRayg 01:05, 7 November 2007 (UTC) | You'll notice as a philologist he is the leader for all of the Ascetic priests, which is a position very likely to be one within the council itself. Suggest moving to "Hod Rumnt". "Prophet of Mercy" is a title, one that is not set in stone. We do not put ranks in article titles, why this? --Dragonclaws(talk) 01:40, 6 November 2007 (UTC) | Suggest moving to "Hod Rumnt". :The naming of a prophet appears to be a rite of passage and based on what the Prophet chose to be called. Mercy may have been named "Hod Rumnt" when he was born and before he became hierarch, but he chose the new name for himself when he took the position, similarly to how the Pope takes on a new name when he is elected pope, leaving his birth name behind. --ED | :The naming of a prophet appears to be a rite of passage and based on what the Prophet chose to be called. Why the hell would anyone think that Hod Rummit is a prophet, theyed bloody think it would be some kind of Fuel Rod or Grunt, and about all the prophets? No ONE CAN SEE THEM, see the screenshot in the page "The Heretic (Level)" Theres Truth, but it looks like some kind of Covenant angry! You cant see their faces or anything.Sauronas Churchill | Why the hell would anyone think that Hod Rummit is a prophet, theyed bloody think it would be some kind of Fuel Rod or Grunt, and about all the prophets? :Where does Hod Rumnt even come from? The site given redirects to http://www.johnnylightning.com, which just has a bunch of toy adds. And can anyone confirm that site it may have once linked to contained legit info? We can't use anything that wasn't put out by Bungie.--Darth Oblivion 02:00, 23 November 2007 (UTC) | :Where does Hod Rumnt even come from?
