Promethean similarities to Spartans
Where the prometheans the same as spartans? Because they seen to act as super soldiers but the book doesn't really gives a specification about it

:Not likely they were forerunner warrior servants and the two were separated by thousands of years#@lof@n1234 23:21, 2 February 2011 (EST)

Nope, totally different. SPARTANS are humans augmented by cybernetics and whatnot, Prometheans are Forerunners (which have been extinct for millenia)SPARTAN-347 00:48, 3 February 2011 (EST)

I think he meant are they analogous, in which case I still don't think so. Spartans are a group of elite supersoldiers. Prometheans are more akin to godlike generals, revered by the Forerunner people and with almost supreme authority. I doubt you could find a Spartan leading vast fleets and legions. -- <b><font color=indigo>Specops306</font></b> <u><i><font color=blue>Autocrat</font></i></u> <u><i><font color=purple>Qur'a 'Morhek</font></i></u> 05:02, 3 February 2011 (EST)

Are Prometheans organic beings? They look like robots, but the article makes them seem like they are Forerunners themselves. <font style="papyrus"><font color="lime">Bioniclepluslotr</font></font> 22:05, 20 July 2012 (EDT)

:What we fight are Promethean Knights, not actual Forerunner Prometheans. Cortana remarked in the E3 showing when a Knight is encountered "Whatever it is it's definitely NOT organic!" So no, they're constructs. The actual warrior class, however, are organic.Ocean Soul 22:10, 20 July 2012 (EDT)
Background
The Background references both the original Promethean warrior class and the artificial Promethean constructs which appear in Halo 4 (of which we know very little about at this stage). Shouldn't they be separated out?--Retriokillswitch 18:32, 18 September 2012 (EDT)
:No. They are already sorted as Promethean units (constructs) from actual Promethean warriors in the article. I think its fine the way it is.--<span style="color:Black; font-family: Arial;">Killamint</span> <small>[<font color="Red">Comm</font>|<font color="Black">Files</font>]</small> 20:20, 18 September 2012 (EDT)
:*I consider the "mechanical" word should be taken away. Wolfkill said clearly "they are not robots". Some other term should be used until we know what they are, like "unknown variant". Siul S-249 18:24, 23 October 2012 (EDT)
The Didact
In the "History" section, it mentioned that Cortana and John killed the Didact. Is this absolutely confirmed that he's dead? I don't feel like it should be worded quite so until we know for sure.--Ocean Soul 02:12, 12 November 2012 (EST)
:Agreed. The Didact tumbles into the Composer's beam - given the purpose of the Composer, I think it's ambiguous whether the Didact survived or not. And honestly, I think he has huge potential to be a great villain in the future still. -- <b><font color=indigo>Qura 'Morhek</font></b> <u><i><font color=blue>The Autocrat</font></i></u> <u><i><font color=purple>of Morheka</font></i></u> 06:37, 12 November 2012 (EST)
Current Status
So, what do you think the current status of the Prometheans is, are they all dead, or did they travel with the Covenant?--216.107.172.150 02:42, 24 March 2013 (EDT)
Actual prometheans?
So I understand that the composer turned organic prometheans into the Mechanical ones we see in Halo 4 but are watchers and crawlers actual prometeans or just AIs? 69.174.161.227 04:37, 30 April 2013 (EDT)
:It hasn't been adressed by any official sources, but I'm operating under the assumption that if it vaporises itself, it uses a composed mind. Since neither the watchers or crawlers do this, I don't think they have one. This is just a theory, however. Always use the DMR. == New Page ==
Is it past time we created a distinct page for mechanical Promethean constructs? Japeth555
You mean like the page that is already in exists? Alertfiend - Warning, my comments may appear passive aggressive. <small>(Converse) </small> 21:24, 24 July 2016 (EDT)
That's the page for Knights. Knights, soldiers, crawlers, watchers, and even the Warden are all referred to as Prometheans collectively. -Japeth555
Image Request from Mythos
Is anyone capable of getting the Forerunner Rate images from Mythos pages 28 and 29? It's the same with the War Sphinx 136/7 Thanks in advance. Primordial (talk) 19:59, 30 June 2017 (EDT)
