Hey people, EM here, and If this has been found, I am sorry. But when you launch down from the pods, before you go through that whiting out screen right below the orbit, there is a picture there. Someone. I only had a second to look at it, but at the very left of the Rookie's pod, is a WWII style picture. Yellowed, but someone, a lady, I think, smiling. His girlfriend? Mother? Impossible to tell with just a glimpse, but If anyone can get a better look, that would be greatly appreciated!

Hey again, I played through the level on easy once, and that picture wasn't there. But, I put it on Legendary, what I had it on when I first spotted it, and saw it again. Prepare to Drop, on Legendary, at the very left of your pod, is a young girl or boy, (Most Likely Girl), in a vintage "Old Timey" Look. If Prepare to Drop had the ability to be screenshot, I would show it, but once my Capture Card is back up, I'll post the siting on Youtube, anyone have any theories? Might lead to the Rookie's Origins. Please respond!!! EM

I was reading Official Xbox Magazines UK's review on Halo 3: ODST (it got a 9/10)when I saw a section of the magazine called "10 THING YOU MUST TRY IN HALO 3: ODST" and it mentioned the photograph at the side of the Rookie's pod. It says that the girl in the photo is actualy one of the lead graphics engineers at Bungie rendered in female form. The paragraph also gives a quote from Bungie that verifies that it is a Bungie employee. This is the exact quote "There are a whole bunch of silly easter eggs that we put in. On Legendary, when you're in the your drop pod and you look over to your left you'll see a picture of your girlfriend... who looks shockingly like one of the lead graphic engineers at Bungie but in female form. She's oddly alluring in a disturbing way." I think it is more likely that the photo is actually a Bungie employee than anything else.--[[User talk:Awesum Scrote|<SCROTE>]] 15:07, October 12, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the help Scrote! But that's creepy, how they use Bungie models for stuff like that. Oh, and if you still have the magazine, could you send me a message about those other 9 things to try? I want to see them! EM

Very nice find. I'd also be interested in the other nine things. [[User talk:Moozipan Cheese|Moozipan Cheese]] 23:41, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
