Halsey's journal clarifies that the material is called "polymerised lithium niobocene," and that it was developed to discharge static buildup after slipspace jumps. The article says "yet fractionally scales and amplifies force," but my copy of Fall of Reach clearly says "fractally scales". Certainly could just be a typo on Nylund's part -- especially since my copy of the book is one of the original run -- but I was just wondering if this was cleared up somewhere, or if we're only assuming it was meant to be "fractionally". If it's the latter, then -- even though "fractally" isn't a real word -- I do want to point out that "fractionally" doesn't really make sense, since the armor was stated to approximately double power output in the very next sentence of the book (page 115 on my pocket/mass paperback, for reference). Anyway, thanks for listening.
