Does Lessons Learned actually mention PROMETHEUS? As far as I recall from the preview (which may or may not have been official) it (rather embarrassingly) claimed Jun was part of Beta Company and was pulled out before TORPEDO. I suppose this could be classified as an indirect mention of PROMETHEUS, but still. --Jugus (talk) 10:25, 18 September 2016 (EDT)

:Technically, as you said, it's mentioned that Jun was pulled from his company before the rest of his company went on an operation that killed them all. Except the company is mistakenly referred to as Beta Company, while the operation is mistakenly referred to as TORPEDO. Otherwise, I don't see any mention of PROMETHEUS. I'm not certain about the preview's officialness but given that Grim is kind of addressing things that have occurred in the preview, I think it's safe to say that it's good. Also 90% certain that Grim said that they will fix the mistake before the novel comes out, so maybe the operation mistake will be corrected as well. --<span style="color: #2B1AAA;">NightHammer</span><span style="color: #2B1AAA;">(talk)</span><span style="color: #2B1AAA;">(contribs)</span> 14:53, 18 September 2016 (EDT)
:Edit: after looking at the tweet, I don't think it got fixed in time. Grim "Indeed, was definitely flagged for change, but sometimes things just slip through. Can't win em all lol. Jun is still alpha". --<span style="color: #2B1AAA;">NightHammer</span><span style="color: #2B1AAA;">(talk)</span><span style="color: #2B1AAA;">(contribs)</span> 14:56, 18 September 2016 (EDT)
::I'd still say this makes the mention an indirect one, since they don't actually mention PROMETHEUS or Alpha Company by name even though that's what they're canonically referring to. But it's an unusual case. --Jugus (talk) 00:37, 19 September 2016 (EDT)

Where is it confirmed that the Mythos illustration depicts PROMETHEUS? I don't have Mythos yet, so I can't check myself, but from what I've seen I was under the impression the particular operation wasn't identified in the book. --Jugus (talk) 00:29, 23 September 2016 (EDT)
:Yeah pretty sure it isn't confirmed. The page literally just talks about the Spartan-IIIs and does not indicate which event the picture is depicting. --00:31, 23 September 2016 (EDT)
::It can't be Prometheus or Torpedo. The S-III on the right page is using a BR55HB. So said image has to take place between 2548-2552.<span style="color:green">Sith Venator</span> (<span style="color:blue">Dank Memes</span>) 00:44, 23 September 2016 (EDT)
Doesn't it have to be one of the two? Torpedo would mean a lot more orange in the sky/atmosphere, hence it being Prometheus. The battle rifle could be an anachronism, sure, or just be taken as a step between the BR55 and the BR55HB
:It could always be a Gamma Company op, though I suspect it may just be an archetypical illustration of an S-III mission. Regardless, it's best to avoid making definite claims when we don't know for sure.--Jugus (talk) 03:38, 23 September 2016 (EDT)

What is the source for the battle lasting till August 2? In Ghosts of Onyx Kurt is shown footage of all the Spartans dying on July 30.TheEld (talk) 22:40, May 3, 2019 (EDT)TheEld
I honestly agree that this needs to be confirmed, as if you take the timeline literally then it means that the meeting discussing Alpha's destruction is taking place before PROMETHEUS has concluded.<font color="red">ERROR 343: Requested database has been </font><font color="#00e6e6">Sev</font><font color="#ffcc00">ered</font> 23:03, April 30, 2024 (EDT)
