We don't even know if the MA5 is it's own weapon or just a shorthand name for an MA5B or any weapon in the MA series of assault rifle. To say it is it's own weapon, and erase my edit saying it could just be an MA5B or other MA assault rifle, is not good. Please allow me to say that it could just be an MA5B or another assault rifle.

Honestly, can we stop pretending that it could be some new variant? I mean yes, we don't know what variant it is until confirmation, but we don't have to play up the "mystery". It's 90% likely that it's just the MA5C with a retcon. Hell, the MK VI and BR55HB SR look way more different from their previous appearance and they're still the same variant.--File:PENGUIN4.gif|15px]]FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 16:54, 8 April 2012 (EDT)

After recently learning about casket magazines, I thought that this could be the answer to the age old question of "How in the hell can a magazine that short hold that many 7.62mm rounds?" It's essentially a quadruple-stacked magazine that eventually funnels into a traditional double-stack.--File:PENGUIN4.gif|15px]]FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 14:59, 20 February 2013 (EST)

:I too have thought this. I used a 2-D Design programme (which I sadly no longer have access to) to create a few scale diagrams of the MA5's magazine, and I concluded that it is indeed possible for the MA5C to hold 32 rounds, given its size, and that if the MA5B uses two magazines back to back (a la Springfield's entry for Project NIBLICK in the Special Purpose Individual Weapon programme), it would also be able to hold 60 rounds.--The All-knowing Sith'ari (talk) 17:11, 20 February 2013 (EST)
