| The top SMG picture is from the Art of Halo book. The gun is an early render of the SMG's original mag design: with a clear perspex one instead of stamped metal. The idea was being able to see how many cases were still in the mag would give the user another way to gauge ammo. Another is because of the use of clear mags in today's SMGS, like the FN P90. It was dropped for performance reasons as far as I remember, but anyone with the Art of Halo book may be able to clear up any mistakes I've made. --[[User:Bravo Kilo|Bravo Kilo]] 03:22, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

| == Pointy? ==
| |
| | |
| I believe that the "pointy" reference pertains to the lengthened scope, not the power of the weapon. According to the H3 ViDoc "Et Tu, Brute?" we saw the MC meleeing a brute with an SMG, and you can just make out the lengthened barrel. This would make the weapon quieter and more accurate. Should we edit?

| I've played the Beta, and i think the point reference was just to illustrate its overhaul - its slightly more accurate, fires faster, and has no recoil for the first few seconds though it kicks in with a vengeance later. It's turned into what it was meant to be, a spray of lead, and that's either a good thing or a bad thing. | == Jackals can wield SMG's? ==
| |
| | |
| I'm not going to remove it, but I disagree that a Jackal can wield an SMG. I have neer seen it on Halo 2 and I doubt it will happen on Halo 3. Emosworld 08:17, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

| == 2.88 kg loaded?!? ==
| |
| | |
| I think Lukems made a mistake when writing the B.net article on the SMG. The gun weighs 1.3 kg empty, but 2.88 kg loaded. Obviously, this means that the total weight of a full 60 rounds of ammo is 1.53 kg. Each round would have to weigh 26.3 grams a piece. ''However'', in reality the cartridge should only weigh about 4 or 5 grams (based on comparisons to the H&K G11's rounds), so 60 rounds of SMG ammo would weight at most only around 300 grams. Add that in with the SMG's unloaded weight, and we get a loaded weight of around 1.6 kg. There's simply no way the weapon weighs double when loaded.

| I'm going to email him about this. Not that I expect a response or anything, but it can't hurt to try.
