It doesn't matter because in Halo 3 it is no longer automatic. Bustie24 23:43, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

It says Automatic on the side of the gun in Anniversary. ArchedThunder
:Doesn't mean it's full auto. When the weapon is shot in-game, you clearly see Chief allow the trigger to come back forward after firing. In a semi-automatic weapon, this resets the sear. In a full auto weapon (and there still is no selector switch), the sear would be reset by another mechanism, allowing you to hold down the trigger.
:By the way, the .45 cartridge is often referred to as .45 Auto. Does this mean that every firearm that chambers it is FULL auto? <b><span style="color:Gray; font-weight:bold; font-family:Tahoma Small Cap">Smoke</span><span style="color:Gray; font-weight:bold; font-family:Tahoma Small Cap">Sound off!</span></b> 07:28, 20 August 2011 (EDT)

::Thank you. The editing guidelines seem vague, especially on what constitutes cleanup per the Cleanup tag. On a related note, a stub is an article that does not contain all the information that could be there, correct? So if an article is short only due to a lack of information (the subject is only mentioned on one page of a novel, for example), does it merit a stub tag? Also, thinking of the articles M70 and A2, how unimportant/short do articles need to be to be nominated for deletion? -- Nutarama 17:24, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

:::What I use is the M.O.S., proposed in a blog by Subtank a while ago. If I'm cleaning an article, I try to bring it in line with what is outlined there. From that point on, you may use your own judgment. I read your talk page - what she meant was just going in and removing things at random without any explanation. If you leave a note in the edit summary saying that you are cleaning up the article, you won't be bothered. Now, if it's something that may be contested, you can remove it and then bring it up on the talk page (I've done this a few times).

:::As for the nomination for those unimportant articles to be deleted... I've seen articles here on things like toilets. Apparently the explanation is that anything that is mentioned in the Halo universe rates an article. I personally don't care, I find the reaction to it kind of funny actually. That's beside the point, though. It probably will not be deleted unless you can prove without a doubt that it either does not exist in the Halo universe or is simply not mentioned. <b><span style="color:Gray; font-weight:bold; font-family:Tahoma Small Cap">Smoke</span><span style="color:Gray; font-weight:bold; font-family:Tahoma Small Cap">Sound off!</span></b> 22:44, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

:::Again, Griever is correct. Regardless of what the manual says, this is a SEMI-automatic weapon. Nowhere on the weapon is a selector switch to switch to full auto. There is no mechanism to continually disengage the sear to release the striker as the trigger is held down. The manual is wrong, and if Bungie wants to provide any additional explanation to prove otherwise, they can. Until then, the article WILL denote that this is a semi-automatic weapon. <b><span style="color:Gray; font-weight:bold; font-family:Tahoma Small Cap">Smoke</span><span style="color:Gray; font-weight:bold; font-family:Tahoma Small Cap">Sound off!</span></b> 15:50, 7 June 2011 (EDT)

I seriously hope that 343 is just using the Reach M6G's model as a placeholder, because it wouldn't make any sense to retcon the M6D to look like that. The D needs a chrome finish and an extended mag. It would also need the bottom attachment removed, although that part would be acceptable to retcon I guess.--File:PENGUIN4.gif|15px]]<span style="color:black; font-family:Verdana">Fluffy</span><span style="color:gray; font-family:Verdana">Emo</span><span style="color:black; font-family:Verdana">Penguin</span><small>(<span style="color:gray">ice quack!</span>)</small> 11:26, 4 July 2011 (EDT)
