| I believe I was quite serious about my comment that the DMR looks rather similar to the Cx4. Just pointing out what should be blatantly obvious. | On a somewhat related note, ~80% of the players I've seen in Team SWAT immediately switch to their Magnums upon respawning, and never switch to the DMR, preferring to futilely attempt to melee their assailants rather than switch to the Dreaded Mess Rifle. | | On a somewhat related note, ~80% of the players I've seen in Team SWAT immediately switch to their Magnums upon respawning, and never switch to the DMR, preferring to futilely attempt to melee their assailants rather than switch to the Dreaded Mess Rifle. |

| ==New DMR and DMR page==
| |
| Since Halo 4 introduces new model of DMR,I think that redirect from "DMR" to this article should be removed, and new page with links to both articles should be created, like ones for AR and BR. PatrickRus 07:42, 3 May 2012 (EDT)

| :The pages you mentioned are disambiguation pages. Usually we only do that if there are at least 4 pages with similar names. For example, there are two soundtracks, a campaign level and an achievement that are named The Maw. If there are only two similar names, like the Halo: Reach DMR and Halo 4 DMR, then we only put a phrase on top: "This article is about the Halo 4 DMR. For the DMR in Halo: Reach, see M392 Designated Marksman Rifle." Then again, we are not creating a page for the Halo 4 DMR until we know more about it. :) —<span style="color:silver;">S331</span> (COM • Mission Log • Profile) 09:39, 3 May 2012 (EDT)

| == Details on M392 DMR body/barrel.. ==
| |
|
| |
| Hey, I don't know if the rest of you people noticed this, but on the body/barrel of the M392 DMR it says "M45A771B". It appeared on both the developmental model and on the final model of the M392 DMR. I have no idea what it means, but I was wondering if any of you might know, or have information that should shared, perhaps in the article's trivia section? So, any thoughts or ideas? --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 18:06, 27 October 2012 (EDT)Xamikaze330

| ::But I'd like to know why it was put there, and what was the reason for doing it? --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 21:37, 27 October 2012 (EDT)Xamikaze330

| :::Apparently Bungie saw fit to put it on the handguard, optic, and the optic mount - why those last two even have a serial number is a mystery, as they are not integral parts of the firearm itself, nor are they regulated as firearms. However, if you ever handle a real firearm that was manufactured after 1968 (I think), you will notice these numbers and letters on the firearm - that is the serial number. They are usually found on the receiver or the frame of the firearm in question. One of my pistols has it on the frame. My AR-15s have them on the left side of the lower receiver, beneath the manufacturer, model, and caliber. I have a revolver that has the serial on the bottom of the grip. Point being, the random numbers and letters are there as a touch of realism. <b><span style="color:Gray; font-weight:bold; font-family:Tahoma Small Cap">Smoke</span><span style="color:Gray; font-weight:bold; font-family:Tahoma Small Cap">Sound off!</span></b> 22:59, 27 October 2012 (EDT)

| ::::Oh, well that makes sense. I guess it's not really that important that we add it to the article's trivia section. --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 23:06, 27 October 2012 (EDT)Xamikaze330

| == Sevine Arms variant trivia ==
| |
|
| |
| As per lore currently available it is not stated wherether their variant was conceived as per license agreement with Misriah Armoury or is simply a copy made through reverse-engineering, it is only stated that "Bandit" variant is roughly similar in quality of production. Since Gao is former Earth colony that now has pretty strong pro-independence (and anti-UNSC) sentiment latter version is pretty much possible.--178.70.18.73 15:17, September 26, 2023 (EDT)
