A note should be added about the actual effects of lag: players appearing to "jump" or "warp" places; items potentially disappearing; choppy animations and lowered frame rates; direct hits not counting due to hitbox discrepancies between players and host; etc.. Information on lag-related glitches, such as [[Ghosts of Halo]] and [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEgtQ2FsfzU that one time General Heed was killed in Matchmaking and respawned inside of his own corpse, unable to move, but not counting as a dead player].
