Talk:Karo'etba-pattern Ghost

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Weight[edit]

I would have thought that the chopper would have been heavier then the ghost; but on the chopper page it says the chopper weighs 1 ton, and on the ghost page it says the ghost weighs 2.5 tons. FishType1 18:18, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Control[edit]

—Ghosts are very hard to control. Now I would have thunk they were not much heavier than a Warthog but I realized that if we are talking about the weight with the ghost ON then the pressure from the field that makes it hover would give it more mass.—This unsigned comment was made by 24.12.184.203 (talkcontribs). Where did the whole "Type 32" thing come from?[edit]

Where did it come from?

Covenant Separatist?[edit]

Is it really? It's used quite often by the Loyalists in Halo 3.

Pronunciation Key[edit]

Do we really need a pronunciation key for an ENGLISH word? guesty-persony-thingyI too am an AI... my owner's name is Supreme Honcho. 04:36, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

No, not really, 'ghost' is a simple word, we need pronunciation keys for things like Sangheili, or Lekgolo.-- Black Mercy 01:29, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

I think the ghost's stats need some run through, well mostly the weight, its ridiculous becuase its heavier than the Chopper :/ Ajax 013 11:00, 07 july

In the Trivia, we need to add the trick in Halo 2 with the A Button that while boosting, if you hold the A button you still go the boost speed, but it allows you to turn, however you flip easier. user: HaloFighter92

I think I saw a red ghost on the comercial, is this like a brute version?--GhostR17 00:17, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

No, it's probably the effect of the sun.Halonerd147 05:56, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Units on Acceleration[edit]

Why is acceleration in Miles/Hour or Kilometers/Second? Accleration should be in meters / s^2 or in Miles / Hours / Second.

Think about it. Position is the integral of velocity with respect to time, and so too velocity is the integral of acceleration with respect to time.

So if position is m, and velocity is m/s, it only makes sense that acceleration is m/s^2.

Ghosts stop accelerating after a while, so the unit should be like km/h. Not m/s². Youngrubby 18:56, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

Did You Know[edit]

Hey, did you know that if you shoot a Ghost in that cylinder tank type thing on the side it will blow up the Ghost. I think it might work in Halo 3, I don't know. It DOSN'T work in Halo Combat Evolved. --CANIS RUFUS 17:34, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Yes, and no it doesn't work in Halo 3. 17:36, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

crew capacity of 2[edit]

In Halo: Combat Evolved (Microsoft Windows|PC), Ghosts have a crew capacity of 2 in single player mode, but only 1 in multiplayer. Is it possible that there are two different types of ghosts?--EzriDax 04:23, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

There is only one type of Ghost. However, Ghosts look different when you compare the models in different games. In single player, Ghosts have only a crew capacity of one pilot. Youngrubby 18:53, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

broken color thingy[edit]

Lmao the color thing on my 360 is so messed up that ghosts are (wait for it...) Deep yellow!!!!! I know rite!!??!!

Disambig[edit]

I think that "Ghost" should redirect to this article, and that the disambig should be renamed to "Ghost (disambiguation)", with an indented italicized link at the top of this article. Wikipedia does this sometimes, when a term has various meanings but one is particularly important or more likely to be referred to; I do think that if someone types "Ghost" in, or links to "Ghost", chances are, they mean the vehicle. I tried to do that with drone but an admin deleted it. ~ UserWiki:Galacticdominator|~]] ~ ~ 13:02, November 13, 2009 (UTC)

Sword-equiped Ghost[edit]

Wouldn't it be cool if 2 energy swords were placed next to the plasma cannons, Like for a ramming ability? It would be like an Honor Gaurd Ghost or something. But wait, wouldn't that be just overkill? Please Tell me what you think!!!Justin Kane 22:01, February 25, 2010 (UTC)Justine Kane

  • Well first I don't think this is a really good choice to ask that question; mayby your user or talk page would be better. Second, it would be unnessicary, as the vehical can ram well the way it is. Putting swords would be redundant unless their was a purpose they would function that could not be achived without them. Like in Normandy 1944. Many Sherman tanks where fitted with metal spikes on the front of the vehical and where thus dubbed "Rhinos". The purpose of these spikes was to remove the huge French Hedges that a normal tank could not run down or remove without the "Rhino" attachment or dozer bladges (Which where rare and assigned to Engineering units).--CR8ZY-Ar@B"Dancin' on Glass." 22:59, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

Limited boost feature: Halo Reach[edit]

In Halo: Reach, the Ghost now appears to have a limited boost feature, which slowly recharges similar to armor abilities.

This may apply to all convenant vehicles as well..

The link is seen here at the very start of the clip. Maybe other videos also provide evidence.

look carefully at the supposed armor ability meter.. the symbol looks like the wings of a ghost, and runs out as the ghost boosts. It quickly recharged as the ghost stopped boosting. This can be seen only a split second before the ghost asplodes though.

Maybe it's not a boost feature, maybe it's something else, but in the least it applies to the ghost.

Who knows.. bungie may add a feature that limits the amount you can use the horn for the warthog.

Firstly, take some time when preparing to post a new comment/section. Fix those spelling and grammar. Secondly, thank you for giving us the link but I'm pretty sure we already know that... but no one added it in the articles? Darn us with our selfish hunger for info.- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 06:02, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

Designation[edit]

Alright, the Halo Encyclopedia calls this the "Type-32 Rapid Assault Vehicle", but Bungie.net, page 79 of EVG, and the Halo 4 Official Site calls this the "Type-32 Rapid Attack Vehicle". Should we consider the reliability of the Encyclopedia and rename the article? —S331 Bubbleshieldhud.svg(COMMission LogProfile) 12:38, 10 August 2012 (EDT)

Considering the accuracy (or lack thereof) of the Encyclopedia, it seems that "Type-32 Rapid Attack Vehicle" is the correct name.--Spartacus (Talk | Contribs) 12:51, 10 August 2012 (EDT)
I agree. The Reach player's manual also refers to it as a "rapid attack vehicle."--Emblem 1.jpg Rusty - 112 13:10, 10 August 2012 (EDT)

Rate of fire[edit]

Rate of fire should stay, it is the same speed as a plasma rifle there is no justification for a reversion --Jarr (talk) 18:25, 7 February 2017 (EST)

Then you should put it in. Currently it is talking about how the Plasma rifle can go over barriers. Alertfiend - Warning, my comments may appear passive aggressive. (Converse) 18:29, 7 February 2017 (EST)

What!? --Jarr (talk) 18:32, 7 February 2017 (EST)
