:::I think I was right, in the documentary Locke said that the report was compiled on September 26th, 2552. So I would say it's likely the Master Chief did access the Terminal (at least the first one) in "real time" during Halo 2, like those in Halo 3 or Halo 4. And Thel is portrayed as he was before becoming the Arbiter, so this really sounds like it's pre-post-Covenant War. (wtf did I just say?) ::::Well, at least this means we don't have to worry (as much) about Thel being listed as an ONI target. Is that documentary floating around somewhere? Also, I'm assuming those new pictures at the bottom of the article are from this documentary, and it looks like Locke has a BR55, which is nice to see. == Agent Locke will be a playable character... ==
Agent Locke will be a main character. Someone fix this.98.65.201.42
:There's not a thing wrong with that statement. He's a main character and is playable, which tends to be the case with main characters.-- 15:38, 23 September 2015 (EDT)
"spartan" IS NOT a rank
Locke's rank should be listed as LIEUTENANT COMMANDER, not Spartan. Spartan is a classification of Soldier type, but it's not a rank.
For example:
* John 117- is a Spartan II soldier, and has a Master Chief rank
* Carter- is a Spartan III soldier, and has a Commander rank
* Nobel 6- is a Spartan III soldier, and has a Lieutenant rank
* Locke- is a Spartan IV soldier, and has a Lieutenant Commander rank
Listing Spartan as a rank is incorrect, as it's a soldier type. Spartan's have ranks within their soldier type, the title "spartan" itself is not a Rank.Editorguy (talk) 14:02, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
:The Spartan-IVs are part of the Spartan branch, which has its own ranking structure. Within the branch, Spartan is a rank. --<span style="color: #2B1AAA;">NightHammer</span><span style="color: #2B1AAA;">(talk)</span><span style="color: #2B1AAA;">(contribs)</span> 14:20, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
::What about Sarah Palmer being a Lieutenant Commander in Halo 4, then being a Commander in Spartan Ops and Halo 5? She's Spartan Commander Sarah Palmer. If Spartans had no ranks that would make her Spartan Spartan Sarah Palmer, rather than Spartan Spartan Sarah Palmer.Editorguy (talk) 14:42, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
:::What if I told you....Commander is a title. And she wasn't a Lt. Commander in Halo 4. Though the Spartan branch no doubt originally was supposed to use Navy ranks. You go into the Spartan branch and you leave your rank behind.<span style="color:green">Sith Venator</span> (<span style="color:blue">Dank Memes</span>) 14:52, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
:::: I understand, however you are incorrect about Halo 4. In Halo 4 she was a Lt. Commander. The Halo 4 digital manual even said she was a Lt.Commander. It has been retconned after the game shipped. Hence the confusion.Editorguy (talk) 15:14, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
:::Sarah Palmer as Spartan Commander is similar to a naval officer of any rank in command of a vessel being addressed as "captain" regardless if they're an actual captain, an ensign, or any grade in-between. It's not so much a rank as it is a billet and tradition. Jameson Locke resigned his commission as a LCDR in the Navy when he transferred to Spartans.
:::: Alright, I understand it now. But let's at LEAST make mention of this in the Spartan Branch page. Sound fair?Editorguy (talk) 15:14, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
:::::John and Carter have nothing to do with the Spartan branch so that makes things even more confusing. Imrane-117 (talk) 15:46, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
Let's take any further discussion to the Spartan talk page. --<span style="color:gray">Our answer is at hand.</span> (<span style="color:gray">Talk to me.</span>) 16:17, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
