Sounds like more evidence they just took stuff from Halopedia and didn't bother with real research. I'd regard the Halo Encyclopedia as a sketchy Halopedia substitute. --[[User:Dragonclaws|Dragonclaws]]([[User talk:Dragonclaws|talk]]) 11:09, August 23, 2010 (UTC) | Sounds like more evidence they just took stuff from Halopedia and didn't bother with real research. I would really like to believe this is not canon. But, like Halo: Reach, there are things that may seem non-canon but we just have to suck it up and believe it. 1st of all, if we say this is non-canon then we must say the same for the Flood Juggernaut (which I would like NOT to happen, as the Flood Juggernaut is so cool). Okay now it's time for my REAL, fact provided defense: In the final Halo Wars cutscene we see SPARTANs -130, -042, and -092 (iirc) battling a group of Honor Guards that look like Minors. Now, if you read my post (on I think it's the Halo: Reach page) you would see that we can't call something a retcon, artistic license, or non-canon just because we don't like it. So, from this cutscene we see that there are... are... ranks within the Honor Guards (it hurts me just to propose this, because, as I said, I REALLY don't want this to be canon). So if there are minors, why can't there be Ultras? Or Councilors that have been specifically assigned to protect the Prophets? As with the random armor? Just a thing added by Bungie | I would really like to believe this is not canon. For example, I've seen Marines with random (not actually random armor pieces, but when I play a level there might be a normal marine, and I could restart the level and it would be a Major Marine) armor before, just because Bungie doesn't want the same thing over and over again. | ||
P.S. I know this is a bump, but it's relevant and adds new information to the conversation. So I believe it's an exception.
