| :What these people forget is that Eric wouldn't have been allowed to read all of it - errors could easily have taken place. Another thing people forget is that large portions of Halo: The Fall of Reach have been contradicted by later games and novels, rendering absolute trust in the novel poor - people still use the book as a reason to denounce a lot of later entries as non-canon, like:
| |
| *The Flood - John having a different personality
| |
| *The Cole Protocol - featured Sangheili before 2552
| |
| *Halo Wars - same charge
| |
| *Halo Wars: Genesis - Featuring a Sangheili prisoner before 2552
| |
| *Contact Harvest - Introducing the Jiralhanae in 2525
| |
| *Ghosts of Onyx - ONI being aware of the Sangheili in the '30s
| |
| *Halo: Reach - The Sangheili being already known along with the Jiralhanae.
| |
|
| |
| The events in the novel are canon, though they should not be trusted word-for-word. It was inevitable for a ten-year old novel belonging to a series written by a number of authors.-- Forerunner 13:37, 20 March 2011 (EDT)
