Functionality?
anyone else think the new functionality might be recharging energy weapons?(plasma rifle/pistol, spartan laser, beam rifle)
Ive thought of that too.

Same here, maybe recharging the Spartan Laser? -- User:Darktrooper117
No I dont think that bungie will do it but its an UNSC equipment and I think it wouldnt recharge plasma weaponry.

Bungie has hinted at the ability to recharge energy weapons; since I see nothing else (no mention of a replaceable battery) to possibly fulfill this function, it's probably a safe bet that the fusion core will recharge these weapons.
Of course, that will also make it easy to kill an enemy who's trying to "reload" their plasma rifle.

I thought it was just a new design of the explosive-on-impact bomb thing, nothing special. Why is it called fusion coil? On forge objects, the link says "fusion coil". No its not rechargable, it is used to power extrodinary objects such as the tank, warthog. "A fusion Core is a Never Ending Car Battery with a few more volts of power." -Unnamous --þ†öW讥 ^ (UNSC Fleetcom)(UNSC History)(UNSC Mision Log) 01:55, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
This is also why you never run out of "gas" and the ODG's dont power down and rush to earth's serface when a power outage occurs. --þ†öW讥 ^ (UNSC Fleetcom)(UNSC History)(UNSC Mision Log) 01:57, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
Is this Image okay to Add?
An artist's (myself) render of the UNSC Fusion Core.
Hey, before I add this image which I did as a 3-D concept, I was wondering if everyone is okay with me adding this image to the Gallery section of this article. It's as near as I can make it to the fusion core seen in Halo 3, and I think in Halo: Reach as well. Vote "yes" or "no", "aye" or "nay", and so on and so forth and stuff like that. How about it? Xamikaze330 13:41, 3 September 2011 (EDT)Xamikaze330
It's really good (amazing in fact), but I think only official images are allowed on pages SPARTAN-347 15:11, 3 September 2011 (EDT)
Thanks. But since you said only official images are allowed, does anyone here have an official image of the UNSC Fusion Core, preferably a transparent image both or either from Halo 3 and Halo: Reach to add to the Gallery? Xamikaze330 15:57, 3 September 2011 (EDT)Xamikaze330
:UPDATE: Forget it. I have already added two new "official" renders to the article's Gallery section. The Halo 2 fusion core is still missing, but that's secondary to the better-looking ones in Halo 3 and in Halo: Reach. --Xamikaze330 14:35, 24 November 2011 (EST)Xamikaze330
::Fusion Core render from Halo 2 added. Not so bad-looking after all... --Xamikaze330 14:12, 28 November 2011 (EST)Xamikaze330
What's wrong with...?=
What's wrong with having an abundance of images from different games? I really don't understand this. Why not show all as well as tell all? This doesn't make any sense. What is wrong here? We have some kind of mass image phobia or something? --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 22:57, 13 March 2013 (EDT)Xamikaze330
:That's why there's a linkbox providing a link to the gallery page. As to why I'm doing this: it's about presentation and having images of repeated subject ruins the presentation of an article. This is not a blog and it is surely not a image hosting site: our task as editors is to make sure the content is presented clear and well to readers in a form of an online encyclopaedia in a pseudo-professional manner. — <span style="font-size:14px; font-family:Arial;"><span style="color:#FF4F00;">subtank</span></span>  23:04, 13 March 2013 (EDT)
